Sumo Warrington has welcomed three talented new recruits to its world-class team of tech programmers.

Experienced programmer Jelte Meganck is the most recent addition to Sumo Warrington’s expert programming team. Relocating from Belgium to Warrington in the UK, he’s previously worked on the tech teams at Crytek (Germany) and Ubisoft (Bulgaria).

And beginning their careers in the games industry, Alex Fullarton has joined remotely after completing his MComp Computer Science for Games course at Sheffield Hallam University along with Felix Nelia, who studied Real Time Interactive Simulation degree at DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe-Bilbao (relocating to the North West of England to be in our studio).

These three additions to the established Sumo Warrington team - which spans industry veterans through emerging and transitioning tech talent - are already immersed in prestigious game development projects. They’re tackling tough technical challenges, providing productivity-boosting workflow improvements, eliminating technical debt, raising (experiential) performance and quality bars, delivering cutting-edge functionality, and eliminating the nastiest bugs!

Scott Kirkland, Studio Director at Sumo Warrington, said: “I’m delighted to be welcoming Alex, Felix and Jelte to our growing team of technical superstars. We’re all looking forward to sharing with and learning from each other as we continue our quest to deliver dependable technical excellence to our partners!

“We continue to work on a range of exciting, top-secret AAA projects and iconic IP with some of the biggest developers and publishers in the world.”
